Q: Core Return Policy

Core Return Policy

When purchasing remanufactured or new diesel engine components, you may encounter the term "core return." This refers to a policy where customers return used parts, known as "cores," in exchange for a refund or credit. These cores are typically rebuilt to meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and re-enter the market as remanufactured parts. Here, we’ll explain the core return policy and why it’s important for both businesses and customers.

What Is a Core?

A core is a used part that can be remanufactured to restore its original functionality. Common diesel engine cores include items like turbos, injectors, fuel pumps, crankshafts, and even entire long blocks. By returning a core, you contribute to a sustainable process where these parts can be reused instead of being discarded. In exchange, you receive a credit or refund.

Why Is a Core Return Required?

When purchasing from us, you may be asked to provide a core in exchange for the new or remanufactured part. The core is essential because it is what will be rebuilt and resold. Without it, the remanufacturing process would be stalled, and the availability of affordable, remanufactured parts would be limited. By returning cores, customers not only support the remanufacturing industry but also help maintain lower costs for these vital components.

Core Return Eligibility:

The core must match the part number and type of the purchased component, be in rebuildable condition (not excessively damaged or broken), and be complete with all necessary parts intact.

Core returns are a crucial aspect of the remanufacturing industry, enabling the recycling and reuse of high-quality diesel engine parts. By understanding the policy requirements and properly returning your core, you can take advantage of significant cost savings while contributing to a sustainable manufacturing process. Always ensure your core is in good condition and follow the return procedures closely to make the most of your core return experience.
